Dazzle DVC USB (5)

This product has been tested on the following operating systems: Windows 2000 and has a average rating of 5

The last rating (5) has been submitted on 2001-06-01 12:00:00 by Anonymous running Windows 2000:
Received the follow messages:
1) Windows 2000 Release picked up the DVC and installed the drivers (DVC Software v3.61) ok. After the software was installed, setup detected both video and sound from my VCR. Did a test record off VCR and >everything worked fine.
2) Web site support? Only if you have flash installed. Even then it is worthless. Tech support? Equally as worthless you pay for the call, wait forever and the techs know nothing about the product. I got the Movie Star upgrade for W2K... Don't work on my Gateway or my Sony. Matter of fact I don't think it will work on anything but Windows 98 SE. Even then forget Netmeeting. They claim it will but it doesn't. I even tried a new install. If you've never seen the blue screen on the much imporved Windows 2000 environment just try to use this thing.

Dazzle DVC (5)

This product has been tested on the following operating systems: Windows NT 4.0 and has a average rating of 5

The last rating (5) has been submitted on 2000-04-01 12:00:00 by Anonymous running Windows NT 4.0:
Dazzle DVC Parallel Port Edition recently started
including a "Now with NT Support" sticker on their Dazzle DVC parallel
Port edition video capture system. As you can see by the attached email below.
The support is very basic. Found the software to be fairly unstable. Seems to
work better if you do not use (or power off the printer on) the pass-thru port.
Also upon unistalling the Dazzle software my Windows Media Player 6.4 now
crashes when playing all MPEG files.
David
I did some investigating and found out the following;
The Dazzle video capture software does have NT support so you should be able to
use the dazzle software to capture video. The hardware however still does not
have NT drivers available. NT therefore will not recognize the dazzle device as
a video capture device and cannot be used for capture with 3rd party software
(i.e. MS Netmeeting). The drivers that will allow this should may be available
soon but no certain date has been set yet.
Need more troubleshooting tips?
