For a game written in 1997, this one installs and runs like a champ under Windows x64 in 2005. No issues whatsoever!

Just run it in xp mode with admin account and there's no problems. I had graphics issues without running in XP compatibilty.

The Doom95 engine is very
quick and very stable. It runs all wads (including orignal, II and add
on packs) and iwads. Have even run it on a terminal server. This
includes a three player network game with all three sessions running on
the server.

Quake III Arena (4)

With Quake III Arena in Windows 64, you cannot install the game through the autorun launcher or by going into My Computer and double clicking the Quake III logo. Why is because the autorun launcher doesn't work under Quake III Arena and double clicking the CD-ROM drive in the hard drive give the following error "While the media is readable is has not been designed for the current system". To remedy this right click on the CD-ROM drive after the Quake III Arena disc has been put in, click on Open and double click Setup.exe. Also, remember to run the 1.32 Point Release afterwards.

Won't install without some major tinkering. Recognises x64 as Server 2003 and wont install. Workaround is downloading Windows installer SDK and modifying MSI table with Orca. Not user friendly!

WinQuake (5)

Works fine. Don't listen to those who say their DOS quake works and Their GLquake works. For me with DOS quake it just planly wouldn't run. As for GL, it starts up, but when it tries to play the demo, all I get is the sound from the demo, and video freezes. Winquake on the other hand, runs beutifully

Return to Castle Wolvenstein (5)

Game hangs after I die and returns to desktop. Workaround is to click Escape, return to main menu, then load savegame again.

It runs...but you may have to run it twice to get it to run, and also the Music doesn't function properly, it seems to randomize.
