This product has been tested on the following operating systems: Windows 2000,Windows Vista,Windows Vista 64 Bit (x86_64),Windows XP and has a average rating of 5

The last rating (5) has been submitted on 2010-05-15 10:10:02 by Anonymous running Windows 2000:
Received the follow messages:
1) Officially there is no SXG family support on NT platforms, but I've seen an NT version of this software bundled with a sound card device driver. I haven't been able to test it, but I wish someone can confirm this.
2) Works fine, ignore "invalid strings" during install
3) My ASUS CUSL2 mainboard came with an NT version of this driver. I didn't test it extensively, but it doesn't work completely. I couldn't seem to enable the DirectSound option; Final Fantasy VIII didn't give me the SXG as an option for music (although it did for sound effects); once the desktop came up when I would log on, anything associated with the taskbar seemed to hang; AOL 6 beta for W2K would hang at "Initializing AOL"; and I would get a DEVLDR error and have to End Task to be able to log off/shut down. Of course, if you don't mind all that, the XG midi player *did* seem to work okay. :D PIII700, SoundBlaster Live!, W2K SP1
4) This is a confirmation to a previous post that Yamaha SoftSynth does work with the NT family. I was fortunate enough to obtain such a copy and installed it on my Windows 2000 laptop. It worked perfectly fine with cakewalk and windows media player, though untested with games.
